One of the highlights of TV debates if not the highlight is the confrontation of one third of Monty Python (i.e. John Cleese and Michael Palin) with the church of England (in personae Malcolm Muggeridge and Mervyn Stockwood, then Bishop of Southwark) on Life of Brian. The movie itself is well-known, also the fact that it was accused of blasphemy and because of that banned from some cinemas.

In this TV show the two representatives of the English church once more demonstrate how old-fashioned they are, narrow minded and obviously they haven’t and didn’t want to understand the movie. It’s also funny to see that the two old men talk to John and Michael if they would have been two school boys.
