“Even hypotenuse couldn’t work out all the angles going on in Dean Ambrose’s head. (…) I can’t figure him out and I’m supposed to be a master manipulator.”
–William Regal

William Regal
Just look at that man, Dean Ambrose, I mean… (chuckles)… what must be going on in his head? I thrive on this kind of competition. Wonderful!

[Seth Rollins attacks Dean Ambrose without waiting for the introduction because of Dean Ambrose’s actions two weeks ago]

William Regal
Seth Rollins is incensed because of the disrespect that Dean Ambrose showed towards the championship medal that Dean… that represents the FCW 15 because… and you can understand him in being, you know, completely upset about this. It is, you know, he deserves everything he gets, Dean Ambrose, I have to say.

(…)

The short time that I’ve known Dean Ambrose I’ve figured out that he may admire certain trades in human beings and certain competitors but he has no respect for anyone. And so, he was very disrespectful. But if he means it and, you know? What can you say? What can you say?

(…)

But let’s not forget, both of these competitors are very well skilled. They might have the game plan of going into knocking out their opponent very quickly.

[commercial break; 17:54 – 15:54]

William Regal
As I was saying before, both competitors know that they’ve got a torturous, cruelling session ahead of them. Perhaps one of their game plans is to knock out their other opponent quickly, and leave him knocked out and… he’ll be finished.

(…)

Matt Martlaro
And the look on the face of Dean Ambrose… I mean he almost reminds me of like a Cyanide Sid Cooper, just somebody totally deranged, totally off the law – this guy is nuts.

William Regal
Even hypotenuse couldn’t work out all the angles going on in Dean Ambrose’s head. I mean, this man is… I can’t figure him out and I’m supposed to be a master manipulator. He has me… that’s why I like him so much.

[William Regal drops headphones, so he can answer a phone call from Maxine]

Matt Martlaro
And Ambrose with a rear chin lock, oh, look at this: rubbing his forearm across the forehead.

William Regal
That’s a… the forearm is such an underrated weapon. It’s a…

Matt Martlaro
Were you talking to Maxine? What were you doing?

William Regal
What?

Matt Martlaro
What were you doing? Were you talking to Maxine? We’re on the phone again?

William Regal
How very dare you!

Matt Martlaro
What do you mean, how very dare? You took a phone call in the middle of a match and went to the back…

William Regal
Just, never mind me. Listen, Matt, this is not about me. This is about watching an incredible competition here.

Matt Martlaro
There are fourteen minutes left on this clock and there are no falls.

(…)

William Regal
Very nice modified Dragon Sleeper Hold there by Dean Ambrose. You don’t see that very often. This man, someone who surprises me every week because you think he’s one kind of a competitor and he shocks you with his in-ring ability, he shocks you with his mat wrestling skills. Obviously he’s mental. So it makes for a… just somebody that makes me excited. And not in that way. I know what you’re thinking.

Matt Martlaro
Well, I don’t need to bring up Maxine again, do I?

William Regal
I wish you wouldn’t… I’m trying to be professional here.

(…)

Matt Martlaro
I hate to keep asking but where did you go last week when you got that phone call, Mr. Regal?

William Regal
I have business to attend to.

Matt Martlaro
You… you are paid to sit here and call the action!

William Regal
I would be if I was paid. Watch the match, please.

Matt Martlaro
Rollins perched dangerously on the top with twelve minutes left on the clock. Ambrose climbing the ropes, could be setting up for a superplex possibly.

William Regal
A superplex at a time like this is certainly…

[Dean Ambrose hits superplex from the top rope on Seth Rollins]

… this is an absolute game changer. Both men incredibly fatigued, worn out. They’re still be fatigued from two weeks ago in their last competition that they had. It takes it out of you.

[commercial break; 11:33 – 9:33]

William Regal
I could say something very predictable here. I’m actually worn out watching these two competitors. I’ve been in so many of these matches. But I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been in matches as tough as these two put into themselves through. This is just an incredible show here.

Matt Martlaro
Rollins and Ambrose fighting a personal issue right now but each and every match is an opportunity to impress WWE and FCW officials.

William Regal
Well, I’m not an official but that certainly impressed me, I mean impressed me as anybody has ever impressed me. These two deserve… deserve all the glory that they get. Really. I mean, incredible.

(…)

As I said before, these two gentlemen will still be suffering from that event two weeks ago, they’ll still be feeling it. And so to add all this extra pain and suffering, add misery on top of it. This is something… whoever wins this match, I don’t think there’s gonna be any winners because it’s gonna take some time off their careers.

[Dean Ambrose goes for the Midnight Special but Seth Rollins counters]

Matt Martlaro
Ambrose going for the Midnight Special…

William Regal
Full double leg nelson there.

Matt Martlaro
(…) And add to the fact that Dean Ambrose… Dean Ambrose down for a two-count right now… Dean Ambrose cracked the skull of Seth Rollins right into the lighting grid at ringside, that steel lighting grid. Rollins is gotta be the worst for aware, both men have to be exhausted.

William Regal
They’re have to be exhausted. But they’re fuelled on spite. And when you have spite in your heart, it can take you a long way. You’re keep doing deeds that would usually make you certain that you would even consider doing. But these two men have such, such unlike for each other.

Matt Martlaro
And one of the things I’ve noticed about Dean Ambrose is, he’s almost barely controlled with his movements. We saw him dropping the elbows onto the leg of Seth Rollins. And that might be a great strategy right now; Rollins a highflyer as well as an accomplished mat wrestler. You’ll take away one of those legs in a match where you still got just under seven minutes remaining. How on Earth can Rollins comb out that?

William Regal
Dragon school leg wig there. Dean Ambrose is just impressing me more and more. We know exactly how… figure-four! (…) We know how good Seth Rollins is. Every second that goes past, we just… well, I’m amazed at the skills of Dean Ambrose. You would think he would just be a complete brawler. But the man has got incredible wrestling skills.

Matt Martlaro
I find this very unique because last week Dean Ambrose said that Jack Brisco would be spinning in his grave. A disgusting statement. And now he’s applying the figure-four leg lock to Seth Rollins. I mean is that insult to injury? What is that, Mr. Regal?

William Regal
There’s no way. Yeah, this is a man trying to win a match. There is no way that someone like Dean Ambrose hasn’t studied Jack Brisco, hasn’t studied Eddie Graham, hasn’t studied Dory Funk.

Matt Martlaro
Look at the extension on the bridge with Dean Ambrose adding extra leverage on that figure-four leg lock and Rollins doing everything he can to fight. We’re at five and a half minutes right now. And we’re still at no falls.

William Regal
And still at no falls. And Seth Rollins has managed somehow in the midst of all this to turn his opponent and place the pressure on Dean Ambrose’s legs. This is just… incredible stuff. (…) The one thing with the figure-four though, if the leg isn’t completely placed right below the knee joint in the exact spot, it doesn’t put the same kind of pre… I mean literally, a millimetre of difference can make the submission work.

[we are at five minutes remaining]

Matt Martlaro
(…) This is leaving me breathless, quite frankly. I cannot imagine the conditioning that Ambrose and Rollins are in right now.

William Regal
And just to let everyone at home know, it’s over a hundred degrees in this building. And these two athletes are getting us probably a big portion of their lives and careers here because this is definitely gonna be a talent, these two, for years to come.

(…)

It’s a strange situation for me. I’m here watching these two incredible athletes and I see a person sat in the audience that I’d wrestled dozens of times for the WCW Television championship, Prince Iaukea, he’s sat there and he’s looking in awe the same as I am at these two incredible, incredible wrestlers.

[Seth Rollins powerbombs Ambrose into a turnbuckle, then goes for Avada Kedavra but Dean Ambrose almost kills Seth Rollins with a lariat…]

I thought we’re gonna see the greatest comebacks since Lazarus there but Dean Ambrose just keeps…

[… and the Midnight Special…]

Matt Martlaro
Midnight Special! That is Dean Ambrose’s signature maneuver. That’s gonna, that’s gonna earn Ambrose a fall, two…

[… and still Rollins kicks out]

… No! Man! I don’t believe that Rollins kicked out!

William Regal
I don’t believe it either. How is Seth Rollins fin… where is he finding this kind of… this, this fighting spirit from? I wish tha… I wish I knew. I’d have been far more successful in my career if I had half of what he’s got.

Matt Martlaro
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, whether you like them or not, I don’t care. You have got to give the respect to these men, may we have one of the greatest performances we’ve ever seen here in FCW and putting one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen… roll-up from Rollins, roll through, Avada Kedavra! Now; and Ambrose to the outside. But if Ambrose is counted out, Rollins earns a fall and will decisively win this match. Now Rollins going to the outside, he doesn’t wanna win by pin fall. And we are under two and a half minutes right now.

William Regal
That could have been a mistake there by Seth Rollins. He should have allowed his opponent to be counted out. It would have put him one fall up…

[Seth Rollins pins Dean Ambrose near the ropes and Ambrose gets one leg on the low rope]

As I said…

[Seth Rollins grabs both of Dean Ambrose’s legs; this time Dean Ambrose gets one hand on the low rope]

He would have been one fall up and it would have given him time enough to get his composure.

[Seth Rollins now pulls Dean Ambrose in the middle in the ring for a pin but Dean Ambrose kicks out]

Matt Martlaro
Rollins makes sure Ambrose is in the middle of the ring and he still kicks out, Ambrose still kicking out and we have less than two minutes to go right now. And Rollins has to be frustrated. He’s gotta be wondering what in heaven and earth can I do to put away Dean Ambrose?

William Regal
He’s someone, myself who’s been in this twenty years and I don’t know what to do. I have no idea how one of these men is gonna become the victor here.

[Seth Rollins climbs to the top rope while Dean Ambrose is lying on the mat; Dean Ambrose recovers and throws Seth Rollins from the top rope into the steel barricades at ringside]

Matt Martlaro
Rollins pushed off!

William Regal
And that looked very badly there on that porch…between the steel…

Matt Martlaro
His arm fell in between the…

William Regal
… between the steel…

Matt Martlaro
… steel barricades.

William Regal
… yes. I think the referee needs to check whether he’s broken his elbow or not.

[Dean Ambrose climbs down and pushes Seth Rollins and himself over the barricades towards the announcers table; Seth Rollins’s head meets the table and then Dean Ambrose gets Seth Rollins and himself up on the table; Dean Ambrose gets Seth Rollins up on his shoulders but Seth Rollins gets himself down for a little fist fight on top of the table; with five seconds remaining both men fell from the table, completely exhausted and there they remain until we go off air]

William Regal
I would defy anybody, anybody to tell me of two other competitors that have put theirselves on the line as much as these two in this competition tonight. That, that… bravo to both of them! I mean, they’re both lying here. There’s no way that both of them… their careers are gonna suffer because of this.
