Strickideen beisammen habe.

Post Spain 4-0 Republic of Ireland (Euro2012)

Much was said after the game, much was discussed. But unfortunately nothing about the low and poor performance of the Irish team but the great support of the fans and after Roy Keane in the ITV studio in Warsaw made his annoyance about it clear anyone felt that also his opinion was needed for making Roy Ireland’s villain number one again 10 years after Saipan. I felt that every so-called anti-Roy-journalist in the country (namely the Irish Independent folk) all of a sudden rummaged their old biased articles from the drawer.

Post Republic of Ireland 1-3 Croatia (Euro 2012)

As I have written before: hope was immense before the game but only three minutes into it perhaps all Irish supporters were crashed down to Earth again. Then again right before half-time and maybe into that big hole right into the second half. You could tell it was bad luck with the third goal (it was!) and the referee was at fault not to give the penalty for the foul on Robbie Keane (yes, it was a penalty!) but what really counts was the naitivity and all-over bad defence on the other two goals plus the robot-like performance without real heart and the missing plan B by Giovanni Trapattoni.

Before Republic of Ireland 1-3 Croatia (Euro 2012)

I have the strange imagination that I am part of my football team also when I am at home and not able to be part of the crowd in the stadium or even of the team itself. And because I have this imagination I’d also like to think that I should do something, do my very part to strenghten the (my) mood, the ability and the all-over hope — to make the luck even more possible, so to speak.

Three Short Films: “Spirit of a Denture”, “Envelope” and “The Ventriloquist” (2012)

All these three short films have two things in common: they are backed by Jameson Whiskey (the best whiskey in the world; for more information about the co-production just click here) and Kevin Spacey is starring in all of the three in the leading role. He’s undoutedly one of my favourite actors but in the recent history it wasn’t thrown much of his acting work on the market. You can imagine myself being happy now with these short films as they show his ability perfectly. But now enjoy for yourself:

The famous fire oracle has spoken: Euro 2012 champion will be…

Ireland, of course. So, trust me (and the fire oracle) and place your bets. How I know that will happen? Simple: I went at a friend’s birthday party two days ago, took some fire pictures and before everyone I asked the oracle about their prediction. At first all six games of the Ireland group C, then the outcome of the three other groups, the four quarters, the two semis and finally the final game. That’s 16 games and so 16 pictures in total. Because I don’t want that you say I’ve cheated I show you the very pictures with the interpretation of the fire oracle guru (i.e. me, as I am very keen in Zoroastrism):
